This machinery combines the best qualities of a CNC punch machine and a CNC laser cutting machine into one unit. This enables the best features of each to be utilised in the manufacture of metal components within the same machine. Making a combination punch/laser an extremely versatile and efficient piece of equipment.

Versatility: A punch/laser combination provides an extremely versatile manufacturing platform that allows you to perform multiple processes on a single machine, such as punching holes, forming, tapping, and precision laser cutting. You benefit from the flexibility and precision of the laser, combined with the speed and repeatability of the punch and the ability to include form features.

Cost-effective operation: By eliminating separate processes, a combination machine immediately reduces production costs. Operations that cut production times and eliminate the need for secondary processes lead to cost savings. For example, when you utilise a combination machine, you only need to program, set up, and operate one machine instead of two. You can also minimise material handling when multiple processes are required. Additionally, you can achieve cost savings through the use of the laser, as it eliminates the need for custom punch tooling, which can be expensive. There are also energy savings benefits from running one machine rather than two.

A wide variety of materials can be used on Punch/Laser combination machines; from metals like steel and aluminium to plastic, wood and more. At Unifabs, our CNC punching services process a range of materials including: Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Pre-Galv, Zintec. Contact us to discuss your requirements today.
