We’re looking to fill a vacancy for a CAD Engineer job in our Industrial Design team here at Unifabs in Nuneaton. You will be supporting our customers with the design of a wide range of industrial solutions from warehousing and distribution, to automotive tooling and lineside ancillary items. 

You’ll be working closely with clients from a range of industries to design and develop bespoke sheet metal solutions. In addition your will also value engineer existing designs, making them cost effective and easily mass produced. 

We are looking for someone ideally experienced in SolidWorks with a background in sheet metal and fabrication. Above all, you will be customer focused with excellent attention to detail.   

CAD Engineer job responsibilities

  • Working with clients to design and develop bespoke sheet metal fabrications.
  • Creating technical drawings using Solidworks.
  • Preparing, amending and maintaining drawings.
  • Liaising with customers via telephone, email and face to face.
  • Working alongside various departments to ensure the company meets customer needs.

Desired experience

  • Experience of Solidworks or similar 3D package
  • Sheet metal and fabrication experience
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Ability to read and produce technical drawings
  • 1+ years experience in a similar role

Salary will be dependent on experience
