This year marks a significant milestone for Gary Moreton, who celebrates 10 years of service at Unifabs. Even more impressive, it represents just part of a career that now spans approximately 36 years in the UK sheet metal manufacturing industry.
Gary’s journey began in 1990, when he joined Stokes & Parry in Nuneaton at just 16 years old as an apprentice. Like many in the trade, he learned the craft the hands-on way, building his skills directly on the machines and developing a strong foundation in sheet metal manufacturing.
After qualifying as a skilled sheet metal worker, Gary progressed into a variety of roles across the business. His experience expanded beyond machine operations, including folding and welding equipment, as well as customer-facing responsibilities. This helped him develop a broad understanding of how different parts of the manufacturing process come together.
Joining Unifabs as an Estimator in 2016
In 2016, following the closure of Stokes & Parry, Gary joined Unifabs as an Estimator. Bringing decades of practical industry experience with him, he quickly became an important part of the commercial team.
Since joining Unifabs, Gary has continued to develop his role and is now Lead Sales Engineer. In this position, he oversees the estimating department and manages the daily purchasing of sheet metal materials, helping to ensure projects move efficiently from initial enquiry through to production.
Gary’s long-standing experience in both hands-on manufacturing and commercial operations provides valuable insight that supports both colleagues and customers alike. His understanding of the industry, built over more than three decades, is a significant asset to the business.
Sales Director Andy Tuck commented “Gary brings a lot of experience to the team. He has been a key part of the business over the last 10 years, and it’s great to be able to recognise this milestone.”
We would like to congratulate Gary on reaching 10 years at Unifabs and thank him for his continued dedication and contribution to the business.
