Trainee Welder

Sheet metal Welding and fabrication services MIG/TIG Spot Welding jobs

Begin your career in welding with Unifabs – Are you looking to learn a valuable trade with real career prospects? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Welder. No previous experience is required for this trainee welder job – just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for hands-on work.

Unifabs offer a range of welding services including MIG welding, TIG welding, spot welding and laser welding to transform manufactured parts into welded assemblies.

The role:

Full-time, Permanent

Night shift

Monday to Thursday 16:30 pm – 03:00 am

Full-time, 40 hours basic per week.

Duties

  • Assisting experienced welders with fabrication and welding tasks.
  • Learning MIG/TIG welding techniques.
  • Operating machinery and using hand tools.
  • Reading and interpreting basic technical drawings.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.

The candidate:

  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Previous experience in a workshop or with tools is a bonus, but not essential.

The package:

Salary: From £14.50 per hour (including night shift allowance)
