We’re delighted to announce the promotion of Lauren Evans to Operations Manager—a milestone that reflects both her individual development and Unifabs’ commitment to nurturing talent within the UK manufacturing industry.

From Office Junior to Operations Leadership

After completing her Business Administration apprenticeship, Lauren began her career with Unifabs as an Office Junior—her first full-time role in the industry. From the very beginning, she showed drive, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic that quickly made her an invaluable part of the team.

Within just four years, Lauren progressed to Office Manager, leading a team of skilled administrators and working closely with the senior leadership team to support the smooth running of daily manufacturing operations. Now, in recognition of her continued growth and outstanding contribution, she has been promoted to Operations Manager.

Building Efficiency Behind the Scenes

Lauren has steadily taken on more responsibility across several core business areas—including production planning, purchasing, HR coordination, cash-flow support, and serving as a key link between production and sales. Her calm, solutions-focused approach has been essential in ensuring that our operations run efficiently and that our customers continue to receive excellent service.

“Lauren has quietly taken ownership of many critical aspects of our operations, consistently going well beyond the scope of her former position,” said Managing Director Tom James. “Her support allows me to focus on steering the business, knowing that our day-to-day operations are in safe hands.”

Advocating for Apprenticeships in UK Manufacturing

In addition to her operational leadership, Lauren is passionate about helping others begin their own career journeys in manufacturing. She plays a hands-on role in the Unifabs Academy, actively supporting the recruitment of new apprentices. Her own experience has made her a strong advocate for apprenticeship pathways, and she takes great pride in helping others realise their potential in UK manufacturing.

Looking Ahead

Lauren’s promotion to Operations Manager not only formalises the leadership role she’s already been fulfilling—it also reflects the core values we uphold at Unifabs: growth, integrity, and investing in our people. We’re confident she’ll continue to be a driving force in enhancing our manufacturing operations and supporting the future of the business.

Please join us in congratulating Lauren on this well-deserved achievement!
